Seit 2002 wird von der CONMEBOL die offizielle Futsal-Südamerikameisterschaft, seit 2014 (span.: Copa Libertadores de Futsal), für Klubs ausgetragen. Die Austragungen 2000 und 2001 hatten lediglich inoffiziellen Charakter.
