Dumai
Dumai (Jawi: دوماي, Chinesisch: 杜迈) ist eine autonome Stadt (indonesisch Kota) in der Provinz Riau im Nordosten der indonesischen Insel Sumatra. Die Stadt mit ihren 343.597 Einwohnern (Stand Ende 2023) liegt 125 km nördlich der Provinzhauptstadt Pekanbaru und 375 km südöstlich von Medan, der größten Stadt auf Sumatra. Dumai wurde 1979 zur Verwaltungsstadt (indonesisch Kota Administratif) innerhalb des Kabupaten Bengkalis erhoben, bis es 1999 einen eigenen Status als autonome Stadt erlangte.
