Sie kommt in den Australischen Alpen und in Tasmanien vor und wird dort „Alpine Ash“, „Australian Oak“, „Tasmanian Oak“, „Woolybutt“, „Blue Leaf“, „White Top“, „Whitetop Stringybark“ oder „Gum-topped Stringybark“ genannt.
