Francine Shapiro

Francine Shapiro (* 18. Februar 1948 in Brooklyn, New York City; † 16. Juni 2019) war eine US-amerikanische Literaturwissenschaftlerin, Psychologin und Begründerin von EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Dieses psychotherapeutische Verfahren ist heute weltweit anerkannt zur Behandlung von Traumata und Angststörungen.
