Der Volkswagen Golf III (interne Typbezeichnung: 1H) ist ein Fahrzeugtyp der Kompaktklasse des Automobilherstellers Volkswagen, das zwischen Herbst 1991 und Ende 1997 (Variant Herbst 1993 bis Anfang 1999, Cabrio Herbst 1993 bis Mitte 2002) produziert wurde. Er ist die dritte Generation der Golf-Reihe. Insgesamt wurden 4.805.900 Exemplare gebaut.
