Gonzalo Fernández de Oviedo y Valdés (* 1478 in Madrid; † 1557 in Valladolid) war ein spanischer Historiker und Staatsmann. Er gilt als der bedeutendste Chronist der Eroberung Südamerikas durch die spanischen Konquistadoren im 16. Jahrhundert.
