Gorgoroth
Gorgoroth ist eine der bekanntesten norwegischen Black-Metal-Bands. Sie wurde 1992 in Bergen gegründet. Der Name der Band bezieht sich auf J. R. R. Tolkiens Buch Der Herr der Ringe und bezeichnet dort eine dunkle Einöde im Land Mordor; er entstammt der elbischen Sprache Sindarin und bedeutet ‚Tal der Schrecken‘, obwohl es eine Hochebene ist.
