Green Day
Green Day [] ist eine US-amerikanische Rockband, mit der Anfang der 1990er Jahre das Punk-Revival begann. Ihr 1994 erschienenes drittes Studioalbum Dookie brachte der Band den internationalen Durchbruch und verkaufte sich allein in den USA mehr als 10 Millionen Mal. Auch die Alben American Idiot (2004) und 21st Century Breakdown (2009) erreichten weltweit hohe Chartpositionen. Insgesamt haben sie etwa 75 Millionen Tonträger verkauft (Stand 2014).
