Hexokinase
Die Hexokinasen sind Enzyme aus dem Kohlenhydratstoffwechsel, die Hexosen (Zucker mit sechs Kohlenstoffatomen) phosphorylieren und damit jeweils in ein Hexose-Phosphat überführen, etwa Glucose in Glucose-6-phosphat. Hexokinasen gehören zu den Phosphotransferasen (EC 2.7).
