Himl

Himl oder Haml (arabisch حمل, DMG ḥi/aml ‚Last‘), auch Hamla (حملة / ḥamla) genannt, war eine arabische Gewichtseinheit, die sich an der Last orientierte, die einem Saumtier aufgeladen werden konnte. Sie ist mit dem Wasq verwandt. Walther Hinz übersetzt Himl mit „Kamelslast“.
