Hypochlorite

Ein Hypochlorit ist ein Salz (zum Beispiel als Natriumhypochlorit) der Hypochlorigen Säure HClO (auch Unterchlorige Säure). Es enthält das Ion ClO⁻. Chlor liegt hierbei in der Oxidationsstufe +1 vor.

Die organischen Hypochlorite R–OCl sind sehr instabil.
