Hypomeiones

Hypomeiones (altgriechisch ὑπομείονες hypomeíones, Singular ὑπομείων hypomeíon) waren eine rechtlich und politisch benachteiligte Bevölkerungsgruppe im antiken Sparta. Erstmals belegt ist der Begriff beim antiken Autor Xenophon im 4. Jh. v. Chr. Von Hypomeiones ist im Gegensatz zu den Homoioi die Rede.
