Josef Velenovský

Josef Velenovský, auch Joseph, (* 22. April 1858 in Čekanice; † 7. Mai 1949 in Mnichovice) war ein böhmischer, k. u. k. österreichischer, später tschechoslowakischer Botaniker und Philosoph. Er war von 1892 bis 1927 Professor für Botanik an der Karls-Universität Prag. Sein offizielles botanisches Autorenkürzel lautet „Velen.“ Als Philosoph vertrat er eine okkultistische, spiritistische, antisemitische und antibolschewistische Anschauung.
