Katib Çelebi

Kâtib Çelebi, Muṣṭafa ibn ʿAbd Allāh oder auch Hâcci Halfa (* 1609 in Istanbul; † 1657 ebenda) war ein osmanisch-türkischer Universalgelehrter. Er schrieb in Arabisch und Türkisch, übersetzte aber auch Werke aus dem Französischen und Lateinischen.
