Eine Kindertagesstätte, seltener Kindertagesheim genannt, in Deutschland auch Kindertageseinrichtung (Kita), in Österreich auch Ganztagskindergarten, ist eine Einrichtung zur institutionellen Bildung, Erziehung und Betreuung von Kindern durch pädagogische Fachkräfte. Die genaue Definition ist national oder regional unterschiedlich.
