Kyros I.

Kyros I. (persisch کوروش, altpersisch Kūruš, babylonisch Kuraš, elamisch Kuraš; * vor 657 v. Chr.; † um 600 v. Chr.), Sohn des Königs Teispes, war der vierte König des altpersischen Achämenidenreichs und „König von Anschan“. Seine Regierung wird traditionell ca. 640 – ca. 600 v. Chr. datiert, doch wird eine spätere Datierung (ca. 610–585) erwogen.
