Als lakonisch (altgriechisch λακωνικός lakōnikos, lateinisch laconicus) wird eine knappe, aber treffende, trockene, schmucklose Ausdrucksweise bezeichnet. Davon abgeleitet ist Lakonismus, „[die] sprachliche Form der bedeutenden Nüchternheit“.
