Das 4. Leichtathletik-Europacup-A-Finale fand vom 5. bis 7. September 1973 im Meadowbank Stadium von Edinburgh (Großbritannien) statt.
Die Frauenwettbewerbe wurden am Freitag, 5. September, die der Männer am Samstag, 6., und Sonntag, 7. September 1973 ausgetragen. Wie beim Cupfinale 1970 gab es 33 Disziplinen (20 Männer, 13 Frauen).
