Milet

Milet (ionisch Μίλητος Mílētos, dorisch Μίλατος Mílatos, äolisch Μίλλατος Míllatos, lateinisch Mīlētus, hethitisch sehr wahrscheinlich Millawanda bzw. Milawata), auch Palatia (Mittelalter) und Balat (Neuzeit) genannt, war eine antike Stadt an der Westküste Kleinasiens, in der heutigen Türkei.
