National Library of Australia
Die National Library of Australia (NLA) ist die Nationalbibliothek von Australien. Sie befindet sich in der Hauptstadt Canberra, genauer im Stadtteil Parkes am Südufer des Lake Burley Griffin. Gemäß dem National Library Act ist sie verantwortlich für die „Pflege und Entwicklung einer nationalen Sammlung von Bibliotheksmaterial, einschließlich einer umfassenden Sammlung mit Bezug zu Australien und dem australischen Volk“. Am Ende des Fiskaljahres 2018/19 umfasste die Sammlung der NLA rund 7,72 Millionen Medien sowie zusätzlich 17'950 Laufmeter mit Manuskriptmaterial. Außer dem Hauptgebäude existieren auch zwei Lagerhäuser im Stadtteil Hume.
