Ophir

Das Land Ophir oder auch Ofir (hebräisch אוֹפִיר ʾōfīr) ist ein Goldland in der Hebräischen Bibel. König Salomo soll von dort sein Gold geholt haben. Ophir wird oft mit dem aus ägyptischen Quellen bekannten Goldland Punt in Zusammenhang gebracht.
