Physarum ist eine Gattung von Schleimpilzen aus der Gruppe der Myxogastria, deren mit über 100 Arten größte Gattung sie ist. Rund zwei Drittel der Arten der Gattung sind in ihrer Verbreitung auf die Neotropis beschränkt.
