Proitos (altgriechisch Προῖτος Proítos), der Sohn des Abas und der Aglaia, ist in der griechischen Mythologie der erste König von Tiryns. Er ist der Enkel der Hypermestra und des Lynkeus, der Urenkel des Danaos und der Zwillingsbruder des Akrisios.
