Rüstem Pascha

Rüstem Pascha (osmanisch رستم پاشا Rüstem Pâşâ, geb. um 1500; gest. 10. Juli oder 12. Juli 1561 in Istanbul) war ein osmanischer Großwesir und der Schwiegersohn (dāmād) Sultan Süleymans des Prächtigen. Im historischen Gedächtnis blieb er vor allem durch seine Stiftungen, insbesondere die berühmte Rüstem-Pascha-Moschee in Istanbul.
