Der Rayleigh-Quotient, auch Rayleigh-Koeffizient genannt, ist ein Objekt aus der linearen Algebra, das nach dem Physiker John William Strutt, 3. Baron Rayleigh benannt ist. Der Rayleigh-Quotient wird insbesondere zur numerischen Berechnung von Eigenwerten einer quadratischen Matrix verwendet.
