Rory McIlroy, MBE (* 4. Mai 1989 in Holywood, Nordirland) ist ein nordirischer Profigolfer. Er ist vierfacher Major-Champion. Zudem ist er nach Luke Donald der zweite Golfer, der sowohl die Geldrangliste der PGA Tour als auch der PGA European Tour gewinnen konnte, was ihm im Jahr 2012 in beiden Turnierserien den Titel Player of the Year einbrachte.
