Rostra

Rostra (Plural neutrum von lateinisch rostrum, „Rüssel, Schnabel“) war im antiken Rom die Bezeichnung für mehrere Rednerplattformen auf dem Forum Romanum. In der Form die Rostra wird das Wort wegen der Analogie mit „Tribüne“ oder „Plattform“ häufig als Singular femininum missverstanden.
