Samuel Morton

Samuel George Morton (* 1799; † 1851) war ein US-amerikanischer Anthropologe und Rassentheoretiker. Er gilt als der erste amerikanische Paläontologe und war unter anderem Präsident der Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia. 1845 wurde er in die American Academy of Arts and Sciences gewählt.
