Schott

Das Schott (Plural Schotten, seltener Schotte, nicht aber Schotts) ist eine geschlossene Trennwand oder, in der älteren Bedeutung, ein schnell vorschiebbarer Verschluss. Ein Schott kann sowohl luft- oder flüssigkeitsdicht als auch brandhemmend (Brandschott) ausgelegt sein (siehe Maritime Brandbekämpfung).
