Schubfachprinzip

In der Mathematik ist das Schubfachprinzip (engl. pigeonhole principle, daher auch Taubenschlagprinzip) eine einfache, intuitive und oftmals hilfreiche Methode, um gewisse Aussagen über eine endliche Menge zu machen. Das Prinzip wird oft in der diskreten Mathematik verwendet.
