Tanimbar-Python
Der Tanimbar-Python (Simalia nauta, Syn.: Morelia nauta) zählt zur Familie der Pythons (Pythonidae) gestellt. Die Art wurde erst im Jahr 2000 vom Amethystpython abgetrennt. Über die Biologie dieser offenbar nur auf den Tanimbarinseln beheimateten Schlangen ist praktisch nichts bekannt.
