Halmahera-Python
Der Halmahera-Python (Simalia tracyae, Syn.: Morelia tracyae) zählt zur Familie der Pythons (Pythonidae) gestellt. Die Art wurde erst im Jahr 2000 vom Amethystpython abgetrennt. Über die Biologie dieser offenbar nur auf dem nordwestlichen Arm von Halmahera beheimateten Schlangen ist fast nichts bekannt.
