Laos nahm mit dem Powerlifter Eay Simay an den Sommer-Paralympics 2008 im chinesischen Peking teil, der auch Fahnenträger beim Einzug der Mannschaft war. Simay gewann eine Bronzemedaille im Powerlifting (Bankdrücken) in der Klasse bis 48 kg.
