Spes

Spes (lateinisch; ‚Hoffnung‘) ist eine geistliche Tugend und in der römischen Mythologie die Personifikation der Hoffnung, besonders auf Kinder und gute Ernte. Ihre Entsprechung in der griechischen Mythologie war Elpis (altgriechisch Ἐλπίς Elpís, deutsch ‚Erwartung, Hoffnung‘).
