Summertime ist der Titel der bekanntesten Arie aus der Oper Porgy and Bess von George Gershwin (Musik), Ira Gershwin und DuBose Heyward (Libretto), die 1935 uraufgeführt wurde. Summertime wurde als eigenständiges Lied aus dieser Oper isoliert vermarktet und entwickelte sich zum bisher meistgecoverten Jazz- und Popstandard.
