Timothy Franz Geithner [] (* 18. August 1961 in Brooklyn, New York City) war der 75. Finanzminister der Vereinigten Staaten (United States Secretary of the Treasury). Am 26. Januar 2009 wurde seine zuvor erfolgte Ernennung durch US-Präsident Barack Obama vom US-Senat bestätigt. Timothy F. Geithner war bis zum 25. Januar 2013 im Amt. Nachfolger war Jacob Lew.
