Thomas Earl „Tom“ Petty (* 20. Oktober 1950 in Gainesville, Florida; † 2. Oktober 2017 in Santa Monica, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Musiker, der zunächst mit seiner Band Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers und später auch als Solokünstler erfolgreich war.
