Walter Mixa

Walter Johannes Mixa (* 25. April 1941 in Königshütte, Oberschlesien) ist ein emeritierter römisch-katholischer Bischof. Er war von 1996 bis 2005 Bischof von Eichstätt und von 2005 bis 2010 Bischof von Augsburg. Von 2000 bis 2010 war er auch der katholische Militärbischof in Deutschland. 2010 trat er wegen Misshandlungsvorwürfen von beiden Ämtern zurück.
