Wilhelm Pelizaeus

Wilhelm Pelizaeus (* 6. September 1851 in Hildesheim; † 14. Oktober 1930 ebenda) setzte sich als erfolgreicher Kaufmann, Bankier und spanischer Konsul in Ägypten für ein Altenheim in Alexandria ein und schenkte eine bedeutende Sammlung altägyptischer Kunstdenkmäler seiner Vaterstadt Hildesheim.
