Wilhelm Philipp Schimper

Wilhelm Philipp Schimper (* 12. Januar 1808 in Dossenheim im Elsass bei Zabern; † 20. März 1880 in Straßburg) war ein deutscher Botaniker, Geologe und Paläobotaniker. Sein offizielles botanisches Autorenkürzel lautet „Schimp.“
