Yakubu Gowon

Yakubu Dan-Yumma Gowon (Aussprache Ngowong), auch Jack genannt, (* 19. Oktober 1934 in Lur) war von 1966 bis 1975 Staatspräsident von Nigeria. Von 1967 bis 1970 führte er den Biafra-Krieg gegen die östliche landeseigene Republik Biafra.
