Das Blödauge (Xerotyphlops vermicularis, Syn.: Typhlops vermicularis), wie viele andere Arten der Gattung Xerotyphlops häufig auch nur als Wurmschlange oder Europäische Wurmschlange bezeichnet, ist eine Art aus der Familie der Blindschlangen (Typhlopidae), die auf dem Balkan, in Südwestasien und Nordostafrika verbreitet ist.
