Hixkaryána ist eine Karib-Sprache an den Flüssen Rio Nhamundá, Mapuera und Japatú, welche Nebenflüsse des Amazonas sind. Die Sprache hat etwa 600 Sprecher. Es war die erste beschriebene Sprache mit der Satzstellung Objekt-Verb-Subjekt.
