Die 3. Squash-Weltmeisterschaft der Frauen (englisch 1983 Women's World Open Squash Championship) fand vom 15. bis 30. Oktober 1983 in Perth, Australien, statt. Im direkten Anschluss fand am selben Ort die Weltmeisterschaft der Mannschaften statt.
Wie bereits 1981 trafen im Finale Rhonda Thorne und Vicki Cardwell aufeinander. Die Titelverteidigerin Thorne blieb in diesem Jahr allerdings chancenlos, Cardwell gewann die Partie deutlich mit 9:1, 9:3 und 9:4.
