What equalizer replaces pulse effects in Ubuntu 23.04?

Question

I upgraded to Ubuntu 23.04, but pulse effects was disabled. What replaces it?

Easy Effects is the new version of Pulse effects and has almost the same user interface.

sudo apt-get install easyeffects

after install, nothing happens, can launch it via the app store but not from command key and no effects seems to have effect.... wasted 45 minutes – tobi delbruck May 17 '24 at 08:05
