error: Package requirements (libssh2) were not met

Question

I have troubles installing monodevelop. I was trying to follow this tutorial but I had an error when hitting this command ./configure --profile=stable. Here is a screenshot of the error I'm getting

I don't know how to resolve this dependence, please help. I'm on Ubuntu 14.04

You can install libssh2 by running sudo apt-get install libssh2-1-dev.

For building a package from source, it will probably be necessary to install libssh2-1-dev rather than just the runtime library package libssh2-1 – steeldriver Jun 24 '15 at 02:55
