This guide is useful for when your speakers, microphone, or headphones cannot work when plugged into your desktop. The rear audio jacks are mostly used for accessories to a desktop that are meant to work with the desktop at all times. So making sure these jacks are functioning can be important.

Before beginning this guide, ensure you know how to solder. Here is a link to a helpful soldering guide for beginners: Wie man Lötverbindungen herstellt und entlötet

    • Once located, identify the soldering points that connect the audio jacks to the motherboard.

    • There is another location you cannot see in the picture which is a part of the rectangular pattern.

    • Gently apply the soldering iron to these points to loosen the hold on the audio jacks.

    • Applying the soldering iron for extended periods of time will damage your device. So it is best to cycle from point to point, slowly trying to remove the audio jacks little by little.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
