Replacing the bacterial filter in HAMILTON-C1 assures non-contamination in ventilator’s inspiratory and expiratory gas paths. Keep in mind that all bacterial filters are single patient-use only! Disconnect HME (heat and moisture exchanger) and flex tube

Use both hands to gently pull and/or twist the flex tube and HME away from one another until fully disconnected.

The HME should still be connected to the overall circuit setup.

Disconnect HME and circuit setup

Use both hands to gently pull and/or twist the flow sensor and HME away from one another until fully disconnected.

The HME (with used/contaminated bacterial filter) should now be completely disconnected from all parts.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
