Einleitung
Replacing the bacterial filter in HAMILTON-C1 assures non-contamination in ventilator’s inspiratory and expiratory gas paths. Keep in mind that all bacterial filters are single patient-use only! This is the bacterial filter replacement guide for a DUAL LIMB circuit setup. Disconnect used/contaminated INSPIRATORY bacterial filter from circuit setup

Gently twist and pull the used/contaminated bacterial filter from the inspiratory outlet.

Next, twist and pull the used/contaminated bacterial filter from the inspiratory limb.

The used/contaminated bacterial filter should now be removed from the inspiratory port.

Disconnect used/contaminated EXPIRATORY bacterial filter from circuit setup

Gently twist and pull the used/contaminated bacterial filter from the expiratory outlet.

Next, twist and pull the used/contaminated bacterial filter from the expiratory limb.

The used/contaminated bacterial filter should now be removed from the expiratory port.

Your two new bacterial filters should now be installed in their respective inspiratory and expiratory ports.

After completing all steps, the end result should look like this:

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
