Einleitung

If your JBL Clip 2's built in AUX cord is not playing music from your music device there may be an issue with the cord itself. The device will be taken apart and the audio AUX cord will be removed and replaced.

    • Begin by removing the front cap of the JBL Clip 2 by using the blue plastic opening tool to get in between the creases.

    • If your JBL Clip 2 has never been opened this procedure will require moderate amount of force.

    • There will be six 3 mm T8 screws under the cap, remove these six screws. Save

    • If you are not trying to replace the speaker please ignore the two middle 3 mm T8 screws during this procedure.

    • The front cover will lift open easily and the components will be visible.

    • To completely remove the top portion, disconnect the speaker from the motherboard using the blue plastic opening tool.

    • While disconnecting be sure to not use too much force as these two parts are meant to become disconnected.

    • There will be four 3 mm T8 screws holding the motherboard in place, remove these four screws.

    I would imagine any small guage wire would make a good replacement. Like an ear bud wire or the like.

    I used these guides to help me get the Clip 2 apart and found that my problem was a bad solder joint at the speaker connector. Apparently the manufacturer noticed it too because there was a (grease pencil) circle around the holes on the bottom side of the motherboard and their fix was to hot glue the connector to the board. I re-soldered the pins and it works perfectly.
